Our Vision

The EKNGB recognise the need to listen to, engage with, and understand our membership at all levels. This ongoing dialogue is central to our work in the short term and plays a vital role in shaping our long-term strategies. We are committed to ensuring that every member of our karate community feels seen, heard, and valued.

Our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion is both genuine and long-term. We are dedicated to removing barriers to participation and creating opportunities for all individuals to engage fully in the sport. This includes our continued support and promotion of para karate, as recognised by the World Karate Federation (WKF).

Para karate offers inclusive competition pathways for athletes with physical, visual, and intellectual impairments. These categories, fully integrated into WKF events, exemplify the values of fairness, respect, and equal opportunity that underpin our approach. We are working to ensure that similar opportunities are available and accessible at the national level, supporting the development of para karate athletes across England.
