EKNGB Delivers First Ever National First Aid Course.
Today marks a proud and historic moment for the English Karate National Governing Body (EKNGB) as we delivered our first ever National Governing Body First Aid Course as part of our ongoing commitment to coach development, duty of care, and safe practice in Karate.
At the EKNGB, we believe that coaching is about far more than performance and medals it is about protecting, supporting, and safeguarding every athlete who steps onto the tatami. Learning fundamental life-saving skills such as CPR, injury response, and emergency management is essential for all coaches, officials, and club leaders.
This course represents a key step forward in raising standards across our sport. By investing in education and professional development, we are ensuring that our coaches are equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and responsibility required to respond in critical situations.
First Aid training is not just a qualification it is a lifelong skill that can save lives both inside and outside of sport.
As we continue to build the future of Karate in England, initiatives like this form a vital part of our National Coaching Pathway and governance framework, reinforcing our commitment to inclusion, welfare, and excellence.
Thank you to everyone who took part and to those who continue to support the growth and professionalism of the EKNGB.
Huge thank you to Simon Ferris and everyone at SEF First Aid Assistance and First Aid Training for delivering the national programme for the NGB.
Stronger. Safer. Together.
