WKF World U21, Junior & Cadet and Commonwealth Karate Championships Selections – Leicester – 12th July 2026

Today saw the successful staging of the selection trials in Leicester for the WKF World U21, Junior and Cadet Championships, alongside the Commonwealth Karate Championships.

Athletes from across the country showcased their talent, determination, and commitment as they competed for the opportunity to represent the nation on the international stage. The standard of competition was exceptionally high throughout the day, reflecting the dedication of both the athletes and their coaches in preparing for these important selection events.

At the conclusion of the trials, the President expressed his admiration for the overall quality of performances. He noted that he was particularly impressed by the depth of talent emerging through the ranks, with the youngest athletes demonstrating remarkable skill, confidence, and potential for the future of the sport.

The organisation extends its congratulations to all athletes who participated and wishes those selected every success as they prepare to represent the country at the upcoming WKF World U21, Junior and Cadet Championships and the Commonwealth Karate Championships.
