EKNGB President Dale Gamble and Performance Director Paul Simmons attended a meeting with Coventry University and the Centre for Physical Activity, Sport and Exercise Sciences.
We are very pleased to announce that the EKNGB will be forming a partnership with Coventry University going forward into 2026.
The EKNGB board and performance department will be collaborating in the areas of physiology, profiling, testing, psychology, biomechanics, sports therapy and coaching with the University and their team.
We are looking to start this programme in Spring 2026 with our Tier 1 elite senior athletes in the areas of sport science and working with Coventry University Coaching department with our EKNGB regional and National coaches.
This is a fantastic move forward for English and British Karate with such a renowned institution.
This centre will start to form the foundation along with our other hubs in the Leicester and Coventry area for the EKNGB performance team.
