WKF Series A – Coruna, Spain. April 26th April

Brandon Wilkins -75kg reaches WKF Series A Bronze medal match against Mexico. After winning through 5 rounds and losing to Japan in quarter finals. Brandon was matched with France in 4th round of repechage pool which he won 7-5 and making the bronze medal final match.

Leading throughout the contest he was still in the lead with a 3-1 score with zero seconds left on clock, a stoppage occured for VR. The bout was started again and he was extremely unlucky to lose with zero seconds still on clock with Mexico scoring with a Jodan mawashi-geri. Finally losing 4-3.

Brandon was so close to the Bronze medal after a hard fought day. Well done to Brandon and his coach for making the Bronze medal match. Even though it was not meant to be today this was great preparation for the Senior European Championships in just over three weeks.
